Mr. Hamilton

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland the total value of school building begun and completed since 31st October, 1951; and what were the comparable figures in the period from March, 1950, to October, 1951.

Statistics are kept on a quarterly basis and the figures for the first quarter of 1953 will not be available until about the end of April. The information so far as available is given in the following table:
