suitable type which was available to the Ministry at the time of the floods or has subsequently accrued. It is difficult to assess the value of such furniture, which is normally sold by competitive tender or by auction, but I estimate that it amounts to approximately £33,000. A Treasury Minute on this subject has been laid on the Table today.
