asked the Undersecretary of State for Air how many deserters from the Royal Air Force applying for the amnesty have been found ineligible; and how many of them have been arrested as the result of applying.

One hundred and sixty-one of the 404 Royal Air Force deserters who have applied for the amnesty have been found to be ineligible. One man was arrested as a result of his application but has now been released.
