HC Deb 29 October 1952 vol 505 c216W
63. Mr. Hayman

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty what was the cost of laying the road over requisitioned land to Polgwidden Cove on the Helford River; and what is the estimated cost of restoring the land to agricultural use.

Mr. Digby

I understand that the cost to the Exchequer of building this road was of the order of £14,000. This does not include the cost of widening and improving the road, which was done by the United States Army.

It would cost at least £15,000 to restore the land to agricultural use.
