Mr. Willeyasked the Minister of Food why the consumption of full price fresh milk for the first eight months of this year is over 20 million gallons less than for the corresponding period last year, whereas the total production of milk for that period is nearly 20 million gallons more than last year.
Dr. HillTotal sales of full price fresh milk for the first eight months of this year were 14 million gallons less than during the corresponding period last year when about 6 million gallons were used in the manufacture of cream. The decline in liquid consumption amounts to 1½ per cent.
