§ 75. Mr. Hastingsasked the Secretary of State for War in how many of the practice camps used by the Territorial forces during the present year was a continuous supply of water available and in how many it was intermittent; and what steps are being taken to ensure that a continuous supply will be available in all camps next year.
§ Mr. HeadIn eight of the 19 practice camps used by the Territorial Army, the water supply is not entirely satisfactory. These eight camps are in the area of Towyn in Wales. In order to ensure a satisfactory water supply to these camps, my Department has agreed to contribute towards the cost of an improvement scheme which is now being undertaken by the local authority.
