Mrs. Braddockasked the Minister of National Insurance why, under his regulations, applications for supplementary assistance from the National Assistance Board have been refused in cases where the applicants are registered dock workers on the guaranteed rate, and where the income to the family is well below the rate of assistance fixed by the Board; and whether he will give this matter urgent consideration.
