§ 114. Mr. Moodyasked the Minister of Labour how many disabled persons in the county borough of Gateshead have been unemployed over 12 months; and what steps are being taken to provide suitable employment.

MoncktonAt 21st October, 1952, the number of disabled persons who had been unemployed for over 12 months was 125, of whom 32 were classified as unlikely to obtain employment except under sheltered conditions. Continuous efforts are being made by my local officers to assist them to find suitable employment. The Remploy Factory is fully manned.
