§ Mr. Edward Daviesasked the Minister of Health whether the supply of steel available to his Department has now improved sufficiently to enable him to allocate greater amounts for the building of hospitals and hostels urgently required for the accommodation of the aged sick.
§ Mr. Iain MacleodI am glad to say that increased allocations of steel have made it possible to make a little more available for building of old people's homes under the National Assistance Acts and also for hospital building work, but it is still impossible to satisfy all requirements.
