§ 83. Mr. Beswickasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he will encourage and assist the formation of a co-operative wholesale society in Northern Rhodesia, so that the co-operative consumer societies may have freer access to goods on reasonable terms.
§ Mr. LytteltonConsumer societies with African membership are not yet sufficiently developed to make a wholesale society an economic proposition. Societies 49W with European membership need no assistance to form their own wholesale society.
