Mr. Shinwellasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he is aware that the United States military authorities are calling to the United States Service men who have taken up residence in that country and who have already undertaken National Service in the United Kingdom; and whether it is intended to approach the United States Government on the matter.
§ Mr. NuttingYes. This matter has been brought to the attention of the United States State Department who, I am informed, already have under consideration certain amendments to the United States Universal Military Training and Service Act, which are intended to take account of service in the armed forces of Allied countries.
