§ Mr. Llewellynasked the Attorney-General whether he will publish the evidence given to the Leasehold Committee in order to assist the House and the country to assess the basis of its recommendations; and, in particular, whether he will publish the evidence of the 10 Government Departments, each of whom gave evidence against leasehold enfranchisement.
§ The Attorney-GeneralThe Report of the Leasehold Committee contains extensive and detailed comments on the evidence. In view of this, I do not think that the very considerable cost of publishing the evidence can be justified.
