§ 74. Mr. G. Williamsasked the Minister of Agriculture if he has considered abolishing the Fowl Pest Order, which does not allow less than 25 head of poultry to be brought to market in one lot, in view of the fact that fowl pest is not as prevalent as it was.
§ Sir T. DugdaleI regret that it is not yet possible to withdraw the Order to which my hon. Friend refers. There have been over 200 outbreaks of fowl pest this year, of which 65 occurred in the last three months, and we cannot yet relax our precautions.
