§ Mr. Bossomasked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury if he is aware that it takes approximately three times as much capital now to finance a farm than it did before the war; and what steps he proposes to aid farmers so as to avoid good farms falling back in production due to the difficulty of obtaining credit.
§ Mr. Boyd-CarpenterMy right hon. Friend has taken steps to make it clear to the banks that in applying their advances policy they should give full weight to the importance of agricultural production. I am confident that the banks are co-operating fully in carrying out the Government's policy in this respect.
