Mr. Sorensen

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies how many European juvenile delinquents in Kenya have been sent to approved schools or similar establishments in South Africa; how many European juvenile delinquents were there in 1950 and 1951; and whether arrangements will be made for their treatment and supervision in Kenya.

, pursuant to his reply. [OFFICIAL REPORT, 18th June, 1952: Vol. 502, c. 101], supplied the following further information:

No juvenile delinquents have been transferred from Kenya to South Africa and there is no legal provision for such transfer. There was only one European juvenile delinquent during 1950 and 1951 and arrangements were made for his treatment and supervision in Kenya.
