asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies to what extent foreign personnel continue to be stationed on territory in the Falkland Islands dependencies.

According to the latest available information, six Argentine and three Chilean parties are established in the Dependencies.

Following are the details:

  1. (a) Argentine parties are established at the following localities:
    1. (i) Laurie Island (South Orkney Group);
    2. (ii) Deception Island (South Shetland group);
    3. (iii) Hope Bay (Trinity Peninsula);
    4. (iv) Paradise Harbour (West coast of Graham Land);
    5. (v) Gamma Island (Palmer Archipelago);
    6. (vi) Marguerite Bay (West coast of Graham Land).
  2. (b) Chilean parties are established at the following localities:
    1. (i) Greenwich Island (South Shetland group);
    2. (ii) Cape Legoupil (Trinity Peninsula);
    3. (iii) Paradise Harbour (West coast of Graham Land).
