§ Mr. LytteltonLand is not set aside for European settlement in Tanganyika and there is no planned yearly target of unoccupied areas to be released for development. The objective of the Government's policy is that the development of the territory's land and agricultural resources should be carried out by the combined efforts of all races.
Total acreages leased to Europeans are as follow: 1950—137,000; 1951—228,000; 1952 up to July—181,000.
