§ Mr. R. A. ButlerI am not aware that the difficulties are becoming noticeably greater. The Government believe that a lasting solution of the long continued problem of unbalance in trade with the dollar area can be found only through the closest co-operation between surplus and deficit countries and the adoption by each of policies appropriate to its position.
