§ Mr. HeadThe responsibility for the removal of defence works, where this is in the public interest, rests with my right hon. Friend the Minister of Works. This particular case has recently been put to his Department and, if removal is not considered to be in the public interest, a payment will be made under the Compensation (Defence) Act, 1939.
