§ Mr. P. ThorneycroftOfficials of my Department are keeping in close touch with the local authorities concerned in our efforts to encourage and steer new industries into the cotton districts, and are associated with a review now being made by the Lancashire County Council, in association with the local authorities concerned, of all the existing empty premises which might be available for new industry.
