Mr. McNeilasked the Minister of Agriculture if, in view of the isolated position of the Island of Mull, and the rareness of foot-and-mouth disease on this island, he will cause to be held a special inquiry on the recent outbreak there with a view to establishing its source, type, and method of introduction.
§ Mr. NugentInquiries have already been made by the Ministry's veterinary staff, and there seems no doubt that infection was introduced into the Island of Mull by the movement of calves from an infected source on the Scottish mainland.
