§ 118. Mr. Errollasked the Assistant Postmaster-General if he will explain on what basis the quarterly rental charge of 7s. 6d., contained in Statutory Instrument, 1952, No. 673, was arrived at for internal extensions terminated on sockets.
Mr. GammonsThis charge is based on the average cost of provision and maintenance of internal extensions. The percentage increase in the rental for internal extensions terminated on sockets is the same as that for telephone rentals generally.
