§ 109. Mr. Edward Evansasked the Minister of Works why a licence has been refused to the Bungay Town Sports Association to erect a grandstand when the materials are available, labour can be provided and the need is urgent; if he is aware that this refusal has caused financial hardship to the association; and, in view of the representations made to him by the urban district council and the association, he will now reverse his decision.
§ Mr. EcclesMy Department receives many similar applications representing in total an appreciable call on the limited resources available for miscellaneous building work. I cannot grant this licence until it is possible to do so for all similar cases. I am reviewing this policy.
