§ Mr. Iain MacLeodThere were 386 general practitioner hospitals (excluding maternity homes) on 5th July, 1948. Three hundred and fifty-one of these still exist as general practitioner hospitals. 85W Twenty-one have become general hospitals, six annexes of general hospitals, five special hospitals, three general practitioner maternity homes. A number of additional general practitioner units have been provided elsewhere.
