HC Deb 02 May 1952 vol 499 c126W
Commander Donaldson

asked the Minister of Supply if he is aware of the increasing unemployment in the tweed mills in Roxburghshire and Selkirkshire; and whether the award of Government contracts will be issued to Scottish woollen mills at an early date.

Mr. Sandys

I can assure my hon. and gallant Friend that Scottish textile firms are being given all possible opportunities to tender for Government contracts.
