HC Deb 02 May 1952 vol 499 cc125-6W
Mr. Linstead

asked the Minister of National Insurance the number of insured persons in Great Britain who drew their full entitlement of sickness benefit for the last convenient period of 12 months.

Mr. Peake

If as I assume my hon. Friend has in mind the number of people who draw sickness benefit for a full year, the latest available information is that there were about a quarter of a million in 1950.

Mr. Mayhew

asked the Minister of National Insurance whether he will extend the time-limit of six months for cashing sickness benefit postal drafts.

Mr. Peake

No.
