THE MINISTER OF DEFENCE (EARL ALEXANDER OF TUNIS)

The constitutional relationship between the Minister of Defence and the service Ministers is laid down in the Ministry of Defence Act, 1946, and Command Paper 6923, in particular paragraphs 20 and 26. I am sending my noble friend copies of these documents.
