Mr. W. J. Taylor

asked the Minister of Labour if he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT the names of the members and terms of reference of the National Advisory Committee on the Employment of Older Men and Women; and when he expects to receive the committee's report.

Sir W. Monckton

This is a standing Committee which will keep under constant review the various problems involved in promoting the employment of older men and women. It will advise from time to time on the various aspects of the question and I do not contemplate receiving one final and comprehensive report. The Committee has its first meeting next week.

The terms of reference of the Committee are "To advise and assist the Minister of Labour and National Service in promoting the employment of older men and women."

The following persons have been appointed to serve on the Committee under the Chairmanship of Sir Peter F. Bennett, O.B.E., J.P., M.P., Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Labour and National Service.
