HL Deb 26 March 1952 vol 175 cc1021-2WA
VISCOUNT BRIDGEMAN

asked Her Majesty's Government whether it is possible to obtain a copy of the Home Guard Regulations which were laid before the House on March 18, and if not, how soon copies will be available for members.

EARL FORTESCUE

Copies of the regulations for the Home Guard in their present rotaprint form will be issued to Home Guard units on April 2 or as soon as possible thereafter. Prospective members of the Home Guard will thus have the opportunity of studying them before they are enrolled. In view of the possibility that certain amendments may be needed in the early stages, it is not proposed to produce a printed edition for some six months. When it is available, copies will be placed on sale. Meanwhile, copies are being made available in the Library for immediate reference.

House adjourned at two minutes past six o'clock.
