Mr. Watkinsasked the Secretary of State for War the total acreage of land held in Wales for training purposes; how much has been acquired; and how much is held under Defence Regulations.
§ Mr. HeadThe total acreage of land held by my Department in Wales for training purposes is 46,000 acres. Of this 44,000 acres are freehold or on long lease and 2,000 acres held under Defence Regulation 51. In addition, the War Department has training rights under Defence Regulation 52 over 11,000 acres.
