§ 45. Mr. G. Williamsasked the Minister of Agriculture for an estimate of the cost of advertising in local papers by agricultural executive committees; and if he will reduce or abolish this expense.
§ Sir T. DugdaleThe cost of advertising by county agricultural executive committees is expected to be £13,500 in 1951–52. This is little more than half the cost four years ago, and it should be still smaller next year. The expense cannot be entirely abolished, for many of the advertisements are of a statutory nature, while others are a necessary part of the Ministry's trading services.
