Mr. Russellasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government the number of appeals under the Advertisement Regulations which have been heard by inspectors at local inquiries for the six months ending with the latest convenient date; the number which have been dismissed; and the reasons for the dismissals.
§ Mr. MarplesIn the six months ending 31st December, 1951, my right hon. Friend's inspectors took 39 hearings into advertisement appeals. Thirty-four of these were dismissed, for reasons of either amenity or public safety.
