§ Sir W. MoncktonYes. I have decided to accept the recommendations of the Advisory Committee following their examination of the working of the present Interim Index of Retail Prices. The temporary modifications which they suggest until the next index based on the results of a family budget inquiry can be instituted will be brought into effect forthwith. I am arranging for the immediate publication of the Advisory Committee's Report, copies of which will be available in the Vote Office tomorrow afternoon.
