its acquisition of land at Deri and Fochriw; and when it is proposed to commence planting on the land already acquired.

The Forestry Commission have agreed terms for acquiring two properties. Groesfaen Isaf (93 acres) and Coed Cefn Bach (38 acres) in the vicinity of Deri. Neither transaction has yet been legally completed, and it has not been possible to commence planting. It is hoped to complete the transactions within the next few months, in time to start work next planting season.

The Commission have not yet been able to acquire any land in the neighbourhood of Fochriw, but they are making every effort to do so.
