Lucas-ToothIn the period between the end of the war and 31st March of this year 302,396 foreigners who can be regarded as refugees either entered the United Kingdom or, having entered the United Kingdom during the war, were allowed to remain here. Well over 80,000 of these foreigners have, however, returned to their own countries or emigrated to some other country.
The following figures show the nationalities of the bulk of those admitted:
