HC Deb 26 June 1952 vol 502 c213W
94. Miss Ward

asked the Minister of Health what representations he has received from the organisations representing the nursing profession on the action of the Coventry Council in withholding increases of pay from nurses who are not members of a trades union; and what action he proposes to take.

Mr. Iain Macleod

I am considering representations on this matter which I have received from the Women Public Health Officers' Association. I also understand that representations from the Royal College of Nursing are on their way to me.

The increases referred to in the Question do not come from any agreement made on the Nurses and Midwives Whitley Council for the National Health Service.
