HL Deb 18 June 1952 vol 177 c346WA
LORD MANCROFT

asked Her Majesty's Government what steps have been taken to co-ordinate the various requirements of Government Departments in order that the effect of economies envisaged by the reorganisation of the film division of the Central Office of Information may not be dissipated by loss of expert knowledge.

THE CHANCELLOR OF THE DUCHY OF LANCASTER (VISCOUNT SWINTON)

Though the Government film production programme has been greatly reduced the arrangements for co-ordinating Departmental requirements remain substantially unchanged. The main difference is that the production work formerly handled by the Crown Film Unit is now put through commercial channels.

House adjourned at twenty-one minutes past six o'clock.
