§ 44. Mr. Braineasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what progress has been made with Government schemes to encourage the coconut industry in the Cayman Islands.
§ Mr. LytteltonOver 30,000 palms have been planted since 1945 and substantial exports of coconuts are expected within the next few years. The construction of a road on Cayman Brac under a Colonial Development and Welfare scheme has opened up new areas for production.
