§ Mr. HeadEleven thousand, nine hundred and twenty-four boys have been enlisted into the Army since their recruitment began again in April, 1946. A boy may apply to his commanding officer within three months of enlistment for discharge by purchase, and at any time for discharge on compassionate grounds.
