§ Sir A. SalterUnder existing arrangements licences are required for the export of literary and historical manuscripts written more than 75 years ago. My right hon. Friend is awaiting the report of the Committee on the Export of Works of Art, set up in October, 1950, by the previous Government to advise on an export policy for works of art, including manuscripts, which will no doubt make recommendations on the adequacy or otherwise of the present arrangements.
