§ 70. Mr. Pearsonasked the President of the Board of Trade in how many cases the National Research Development Corporation has accepted responsibility for the sponsorship of inventive enterprises in the national interest that would otherwise be unprovided for.
§ Mr. P. ThorneycroftThe Report of the Corporation for the year ending June, 1951, shows that it then held 897 United Kingdom Patents and Patent applications. A number of these were being covered by licensing agreements. The Corporation has since acquired further patents and pursued its efforts to secure their exploitation. The Third Annual Report of the Corporation is expected to be laid before Parliament in the autumn and will undoubtedly contain further information on their activity. If, in the meantime, the hon. Member has any particular point in mind, perhaps he would let me have details.
