Major Hicks Beachasked the Minister of Health if he will make a statement on the issue of bone conduction receivers with National Health hearing aids.
§ Mr. Iain MacleodThe Electro-Acoustics Committee of the Medical Research Council has now assessed the results of clinical trials of an experimental bone-conduction aid produced for the National Health Service. The Committee has recommended this aid for issue to patients for whom a bone-conduction aid is more suitable than an air-conduction aid, and I am arranging for large-scale production as soon as possible.
