Colonel Clarkeasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he is aware that for a number of years the village of Blackham and neighbourhood in Sussex have been completely without water for considerable periods during the summer months, and that this serious and unhealthy position could be remedied if a short main link in the supply was made, a distance of a few hundred yards; and if he will take steps to see that the 116W situation is remedied without further delay.
§ Mr. MarplesMy right hon. Friend is aware of the position and he understands that the water company will seek authorisation for the work as soon as they have cleared some essential preliminaries.
