Colonel Clarkeasked the Minister of Works why, in view of the fact that there is now no control over entry into the building and civil engineering industries, Mr. A. W. Layfield, of Lindfield, Sussex, has been requested to return his present certificate of registration and informed that a new certificate will be issued if he decides to resume building or civil engineering activities.
§ Mr. EcclesAll registered builders are required to supply information about the operation of their firms. As Mr. Layfield is not now engaged on building work it would be a waste of time and paper to send him the necessary forms and his registration has, therefore, been cancelled.
