§ 94. Colonel Gomme-Duncanasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he will recommend the appointment of a Royal Commission, or appoint a suitable fact-finding body, to inquire fully into the disappearance of Messrs. Burgess and Maclean and all the circsumstances connected therewith.
§ Mr. NuttingA full inquiry has already been made by the security authorities with the assistance of the Departments concerned into the disappearance of Messrs. Maclean and Burgess and the investigations are still continuing. I am satisfied that nothing further would be gained by the appointment of a Royal Commission or other fact-finding body to inquire into the matter.
