§ 48. Mr. T. Reidasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what further financial help the Government of Malta is asking from Britain in addition to the £25 million already given or promised; and to what extent the request is for a loan for development purposes, and to what extent for a recurrent annual grant to meet the needs of the increasing population of Malta.
§ Mr. LytteltonWe are still discussing these matters with Maltese Ministers. I therefore should not like to add to the reply given on 11th June to a similar Question by my hon. Friend the Member for Devizes (Mr. Hollis).
