Walter, of 125, Monks Road, Lincoln, to open a sub-post office on the Monks Tower estate has been refused; whether he is aware that such refusal will cause unnecessary hardship to the people living on this estate; and if he will reconsider this decision.
§ Mr. GammansIt is not the normal practice to open a new post office in town districts at a distance of less than one mile from an existing office; there is already a post office about half a mile from the Monks Tower estate, and I regret that the opening of an office on the estate itself would not therefore be justified.
