Mr. Perkinsasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in view of the hardship caused to the manufacturers of pianos by the sudden closing of the markets in the Argentine, Brazil, New Zealand and Australia and the effect on the home market of the high Purchase 50W Tax on pianos and the uncertainty of the future Purchase Tax position, he will make an early announcement of his intentions.
