§ Mr. BirchThe additional direct expenditure incurred by the United Kingdom up to 30th June was about £17 million. In addition, there has been an exceptional rate of consumption of military stores which represents an indirect cost. Supplies and services have been received from other participants in the United Nations Command, the financial arrangements for which remain to be settled. I would refer the hon. Member to the figures given by my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister yesterday, which take all these factors into account.
