§ Mr. Bakerasked the Minister of Agriculture whether he will consult with the British Transport Commission with a view to preventing the closing of the Waveney Valley line, owing to the importance of this line to the agricultural industry.
§ Sir T. DugdaleI have looked into this matter but I do not propose to intervene since adequate facilities exist for representations to be made by any local interest likely to be affected under the provision of Section 6 of the Transport Act, 1947.
